My car is VW Golf mk4. It's been in a garage for 6 months and after a recent MOT is back on the road. However, the stereo is not working. I've tried a different stereo I knew was working and that didn't either. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. Any help on what else it could be?

Loose connection between the fuse box and the stereo is likely - check the wiring on the power cable that goes into the actual radio, it is prone to breaking / becoming loose in my experience.

have you try-ed wiring the power wires Straightt to the battery, you have one constant and a ignition wire, the conector (iso) could also be damaged or broken

check all fuses because a lot of companies run your power to your radio with other stuff like a cig. lighter or dome light. so check everyone of them. if there all good pull out the trusty multimeter and see if you got either switch or constant or neither. and see if you have ground . after you check these email me if you still have the problem but tell me what your email address is because every time i try to email someone back it tells me its failed!

If you've had a new battery installed it may be due to your radio being coded. The codes should be with your manual for the in car entertainment.
