If you have the car from new you should have the pin number amongst the paperwork and car manual for the radio.

hi, i changed the battery on my ford mondeo the other day and as a result the radio has now decided it needs a PIN number to work again. i have no idea what this is, and when i asked at the ford garage they said it would cost £20 to retrieve the code. i don't have a lot of money at the mo, is there any way to reset the radio without the code?

When this happened to my metro a Rover garage looked it up for me on the spot and didn't charge. It may be worth trying a few more, unless Ford have a set charge for the service.

try random no. like 0000-1234-9999 etc.
its like an anti-theft lock so ur kinda screwed..

try the common ones, you might lucky-i dont think that many people change them:
0000
1234

good luck

The Pin number should be on a card stuck to the inside back cover of the radio manual.
If you dont have the manual then you will have to get the garage to fix it or simply do without the radio for awhile.
