My car key wont go more than half way into my lock. How do i fix this?

I have an 03 mustang. When i got it last fall i had no problem unlocking it. I used my keyless remote all winter until i lost it and now i realize i cant get my key to fit into the lock. its not ice because the snow has melted and it stil wouldnt fit. it may be that something is broken inside the lock. my key is not bent
 
well you need to find that remote because that's going to be a costly replace... if it were an older car then you would have a separate key for the door but you don't so ya...
