My friends car is a 96 cavalier 2.2 race car. It's really hard to start (vary cold blooded). I have to spray starting fuel in the throttle body and open the throttle body by hand and rev in up while spraying the starting fuel in and with in a few mintues it would run under its own power and as longas its warm, it would start up right away. When its run and I go to open the throttle open it sounds as there is an absence and studers, its taking in the air but not any more fuel. Then, it will pick back as I go high in rpms. When the rev is maxed out it doesn't sound like a normal rev limiter. the rev limiter will hit half as less as an noraml rev limiter sound.
It has a new fuel filter on it and there is good fuel pressure. When my friend when to start it before we started to work on it it was packed with sunflower seeds and what now from the animals and they didn't know and tried to start with all that stuff in there when they didn't know. Could there be something from the sunflower seeds down there? Or anything else you think will solve the problems im having?
Thanks!
P.S. The car ran well before we stored it for the winter.
There is fresh gas in the car. There is no air filter on the car right now, so the throttle body is free. The seeds were packed in the intake tube all the the way to the throttole plate.
