I need to know if planned audio hook up to my car is good. I have TWO 12'' Kicker CVX. and i was thinking about running it off a capacitor, can someone tell me what capaciter i need? Also my power wire is only 8 guage. The amp i was planning to get was a Kicker zx1500.1

I need to know what size capaciter i need. Or will this set up work or not.
what if i get 2 eight guage wires?? for both the ground and the power line?

If you're going to step to an amp like a ZX1500.1, know that flimsy little 8 gauge isn't going to cut it. An amp of that power has a 150A fuse rating. This means you best be sure your electrical system is up to snuff before you even try it. High output alternator, 1/0 gauge wire and "big 3" upgrade are HIGHLY recommended.

If you're willing to support the hungry power needs of the amp, your stuff should hit hard, real hard.

Good luck.

Dont need a capacitor get a knew altinator and the 8 gauge wire ant going to work ether so at this point it ant gonna work but definatly go with the kicker amp look for amp wiring kits the will already have everthing in them

A HO alternator isn't going to be required with 1500 watts (well, more like 1700 with that particular amplifier) unless you have a really wimpy stock alt. The big three and a strong car audio battery should more than suffice. A capacitor will not be needed.

You should go ahead and get no less than two gauge. zero gauge would be ideal, and no, two runs of 8 gauge would still be far too small.
