I have a 1999 buick century.
77k milage

as today....
My engine sputters when idle in the driveway/at lights and my dash and headlights will dim.

my antilock break light, and my traction control turn off after a minute.

and my low coolant light are on.

My engine staying below the middle on the temp guage.
Ive tried putting in coolant but it hasnt turned off the light.

for the sputters, its getting significantly worse.
It has yet to stall out or shut off or anything, but its getting pretty weak.
it only stops when i give it some gas, moving... or not.

and the traction control and antilock turn off it seems at random, i dont even need to touch the breaks. but it DOES happen...every drive within the first few minutes.

Some history...
I have a stereo hooked up without a capacitor, could my battery be dying? but would that cause a sputtering or the abs to turn off?

Ive shut the stereo off and revved the engine, but the sputters comes back, so either its not the battery....or the battery is not holding a charge, have yet to check with the volt meter.... but i dont have any issues starting it. aka: its not dead/dying battery during ignition atleast.

My breaks are ABOUT due for a change.
They dont make noise or anything, but they are a little weak.
Could this cause the abs to come on?

and the coolant..... im just flabbergasted.

Damn boat.

Thanks friends.
