My brand new ceramic stove top cracked, no it wasn't a thermal crack.?

Therefore, I know my manufacturer's warranty will not cover it. Should I file a claim with my home owner's or my home warranty? It was an accident that happened during the installation of my microwave and vent. No it wasn't the company I bought it from so I can't get them to pay for it. A replacement ceramic stove top is $350.
I assumed my home owner's wouldn't cover it, since it wasn't some sort of natural disaster, just wondering if perhaps an insurance agent out there knew something I didn't. I was more leaning toward my home warranty but I've never used it before so thought some opinions might be helpful. I know it covers all my new appliances, just unsure if that's only mechanical failure. Anyone familiar with home warranties?

Whoever installed the microwave and vent are the ones liable here.

This is going to be below your homeowners deductible, so no real chance for a claim there.

You can always check with your homeowners insurance, but i doubt if it will be covered. Most homeowner policies have a deductible and the 350 is probably below that amount.
