We try to be really quiet. Now he went along with not having sex at his house. It was after 11:30 pm. We put music on but not too loud.

I didn't even want to do it. He wanted to.
She has already asked for birth control before me and him were even together.
She has an ipod. She is 17 years old.

I just feel like we try to wait until she is asleep but its not good enough.
I was told by him that they were open about sex.
He sometimes sleeps at my house but we both feel guilty about leaving her there alone. I have a 9 year old. Sometimes I bring her to his house and she has to sleep on the sofa. Then his daughter is upset that she has to watch age appropriate stuff when my daughter is there. She hogs the sofa so we can't set it up for my daughter to sleep.

Now my daughter is out of town for a month. But I can't sleep with him. Even if we wait until 1 am his daughter still complains about it.

just wait till she goes out with her friends?
thats really akward...if i heard my parents having sex id be disgusted...like imagine if you were sleeping and you heard your parents doing it..you'd be disturbed too!! so look at it from her POV!
 
The daughter sounds like she doesn't like you. Don't immediately blame yourself though...if it's because she is bitter about a divorce/loss of her mother than it will take time I guess. But if you're having sex and she can hear it...that's kinda icky...I'm 17 too and I wouldn't want to hear my parents having sex...ugh.

Find some way to get the daughter out of the house a couple times a week. 17 year-olds don't care about anything but themselves. Get her preoccupied and you'll no longer have a problem.

Also, It's her dad's house, not hers. He can do whatever he damn well pleases.
 
honestly wtf its his daughter! of course shes going to act like that shes 17 and hurt. dont be ignorant and try to talk to her. and honestly? leaving your 9 year old daughter there like its a 17 year olds responsibilty... seriously? obviously not guilty enough to sit down, talk, and take care of your 9 year old.
 
Tell his daughter to stop complaining and that you guys can have sex all you want. She really has no control over it.

your daughter is there does she ever complain? maybe his daughter just want to make an issue out of it all she would have to do is listen to her music or something she is just mad and jealous.
