My boyfriend is joining the army..Any advice?

Will I get to talk to him during basic training or AIT?
What is going to happen after that?
We want to get married, but I'm still in college. So, I don't know how that would work with me in college and him having to move around.
He doesn't plan to do reserves.
 
u will get to send letters and he will get one phone call a week. he will go home for leave for about two weeks then to his duty station.

and being a military wife, if yall have plans on getting married i would do it sooner rather than later. my husband gets 2200 just for rent/housing so its worth the money.
 
He won't be moving around after Basic and AIT, he'll be at his duty station for at least 2 years.

Finish school and let him finish Basic and school. Write him every chance, everyday or every other day if you can. Tell him only good and positive stuff.

Don't expect phone calls, if they happen great, if not, just write. Plus, you can't call him.
 
You may get a call or two during basic. AIT he should be allowed more free time but it depends on his COC (chain of ATImand).

After AIT he will be assigned a unit and be moving there.

If he is NG or reserve he will drill one weekend a month and two weeks a year at a unit near his residence.
