I actually think they will issue them boots they are supposed to wear. You may wanna check before you get these.
My boyfriend is going to Pendleton (USMC boot camp). Is this going away present ok? ?

I was thinking of getting him Danner Mens Marine 8 Inch Desert GORE-TEX Uninsulated Combat Boots (USMC). To tell you the truth I have no idea what all that means.

Save your money. He will be issued Two pairs of boots in MCRD San Diego.
He will get a pair of jungles and a pair of combats.
Danner's are better looking boots for me however if you have wide feet than it may be a problem. They are comfortable as well.
Oh yeah if you spray his letters with perfume he will catch hell from the Drill Instructors.

1st. He is not going to Pendleton for Boot...MCRD San Diego maybe.
2nd. He can have the boots after he is out of boot.
3rd. save your 200 bucks, he will not need it in boot.

No- they will be issued combat boots. He cannot take them with him anyhow- the clothes on his back and $20 in his pocket. He should get a list of what he can take- he will get to keep his boots so dont worry about it until he gets home- and yes, it will most likely be MCRD not Pendleton. Please read the rules of what you can send him when that letter arrives- i do not know if it will be going to you or his parents since you are not married- but he can get in trouble for alot of "mistakes" like this. Good luck

He won't be able to take much with him, so maybe before he leaves youguys could go have your pictures made and you could send them to him. They live for mail when they are booters. Always spray your letters to him with your perfume.
