..."pissed off" being a swear word.? My boyfriend is British. I am American. We are arguing about the word pissed off being a swear word. In Britain it is as bad as saying the" f word" and its meaning is as to say someone is very drunk. In the States its a mild swear meaning your angry or have to pee.
But he seems to think I am crazy, and says that it is a horrible word to say in the States and he knows this because he has some friends in utah who consider it a curse word where darn, shoot, and dang would be crude.
Anyway the whole argument really pisses me off. What is your opinion? Do you consider POed to be bad?
