My body responds better to slow twitch exercises when it comes to explosiveness,...

...does anyone know why this is? My vertical jump improves with light weight and high rep, whereas it's always been said to do low rep and high intensity sets. What is my overall body type then...Slow twitch muscle fibers? For some reason, my slow twitch are my stimuli for explosiveness...sounds weird huh?
