My Bloody Valentine 3D

Wasn't impressed with the film one bit. If I hadn't seen it in 3d I would have probably got my pickaxe out and gone on a rampage I was that bored
 
How long has this extra fee been in place because when we went to see 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth', l'm sure my mate didn't have to pay extra!
 
I am gutted, been looking forward to seeing this film all day and we had prebooked our tickets, got to the cinema and turns out they are not showing it in 3d at all because they don't have the technology. I live in leeRAB and nowwhere in leeRAB is showing it because nobody has the right stuff to do it.
We got our money back because we were not that bothered about seeing it unless it was 3d.
Nearest place showing it tonight was Manchester and was not willing to drive there to see it,Bradford said they were showing it at Cineworld in 2 weeks and huddersfield on the 22nd. What a palava, a lot of people were kicking off tonight as the cinema had not bothered to let people know they were not showing it in 3d......
total rip of and let down I must say :(
 
Guys im thinking of getting a Unlimited Card from Cineworld.It says you can print out a temporary card to start using immediately. When i print this out and go to the cinema can you tell me what i do? Do i go to the desk and just say what film i want to see or do i use one of those machines that i used to see there. Is there any ID or anything i need to take?

Also do i ask for the glasses or are they given to me before i go into the actual cinema hall.Baring in mind im in Glasgow and this Cineworld has probably 100 floors to it lol. I dont wanna have to go all the way back down to ground level just to pick up glasses.
 
I had a few frienRAB wanted to see this in 3D and unfortunately all the nearest 3D cinemas are a 40-60 mile radius. We arranged to travel 60 miles to combine it with staying with frienRAB. Our aim was to see the 9.20 showing and that sold out and whilst in the queue the 23.40 sold too. Our only viable solution after travelling so far was to delay our return this morning and do the first showing.

I'm extremely squeamish and did the whole hiding behind one hand at various parts but even I was laughing at the gore in places :o

The plot wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either (but low expectations probably helped with that) and the twist could have gone three ways for me at one point.

The rare few times I've travelled to see 3D (twice in 18 months) cineworld have done the extra charge.

What I found surprising was how the general costs vary from area to area though. The cineworld I travelled to was at least a
 
Seen this tonight and suprisingly found it fun as I went to it with pretty low expectations and only really went as I wanted to see Jensen Ackles on the big screen.

The acting and storyline were a bit ropey in places but to me it was the type of film that you go to with a group of frienRAB and just have a laugh with it.

I'd never experienced 3D before and I really enjoyed that aspect of it. I want all my movies in 3D now :)

I was reflecting to your rudeness, to one of my posts to which you responded. When I had clearly already given my review of the film much earlier on in the thread!
However we both agree the film was good, so lets move on hey.
 
I found it so-so. I could have done with seeing a naked man in equal measure to the naked girl too, what with it being 2008 and all :rolleyes:

I didn't like the fact that the policeman survived while his mistress payed for their affair, but wasn't really expecting much after the horribly sexist naked murder.
 
try'd to see this film in Glasgow(cineworld)(tallest cinema in world,and one of the biggest screens in u.k.)) last night, got to cinema 1and a half hours early to get ticket then go for drink, NO CHANCE , 7.30 & 9.30 showing completly sold out, least i bought my ticket & glasses for tonight's showing, anybody going to see this film ,if you work in a city centre it may well be worth going to buy your ticket's in lunch hour,or go very early ,say before a meal or a few drinks and good luck.Was probably the only cinema in the west of scotland to show in full 3D, some other cinema were showing this film but only in 2D, make sure you check your cinema listings before you go.
 
I rally enjoyed i. No doubt it would have been pretty mediocre without the 3D, but with the 3D it became great entertainment.. I guess it also helped watching it with a noisy crowd.

Best bit of 3D for me was:

the flying chin!
 
Totally agree, the movie itself was quite naff and i certainly won't be buying the DVD but it was a bit like being at a theme park watching it up the cinema thanks to the 3D and lively crowd.

As for my favourite bit of 3D, it is close call between that scene you mention and
when the shotgun was being pointed at the screen and everyone in crowd was ducking expecting it to be fired! The scene at the start where the girl gets a shovel through her head seemed to draw most gasps though!
 
Wow, it's a bit of a surprise that so many places are selling out showings - I wouldn't have expected it, but then I don't usually go for this type of film so wouldn't know how well they sell.

I booked tickets for the night it was released at my loacl Cineworld. It clearly says on the website that 3D films cost
