Watching it in 3D is quite something  MBV was much better than I expected it to be; Kerr and Jensen really sold it in the leading roles, and there were enough twists and turns along the way that kept you guessing like any decent horror movie should.

And yes, I can definitely see the potential there for a sequel. :)

Just in case anyone is wondering how MBV did at the box office including Monday (MLK holiday).

No, it's cool. I did think he was stiff at the beginning when he was playing a teenager. But after that opening, then [sp]he's playing this man who can't keep himself under control. He's delusional, possibly heavily schizophrenic, there should be something off (that's how a lot of people describe schizophrenia, btw), he'd barely be functional as it is, so the delusion allows him to go on until something triggers him to be a monster. But when he's acting "normal" he's blocking a huge part of himself to be able to be a day to day person, so there should be something missing, like he's sleeping with his eyes open.[/sp]

The critics keep bringing up Dean. Dean has his issues, but he deals with them on a whole different level.

But yeah, hopefully Jensen will get new movie role soon where he gets to impress us all over again like he's been doing on tv for years!

Thanks for the interview!

Fingers crossed my darling friend can get off work early so I can watch this already! Hee!

----

I'm so incredibly upset right now. Not only I couldn't go, I waited the entire day when I could have gone on and seen it early but my friend's work called him to work the night when I couldn't do anything about it.

Ah, anyway... If anybody went to early showings, I hope you had fun!

This was such a sweet movie! I loved it so much! It's selling point for me was probably Jensen Ackles. He's an awesome actor, I love him in "Supernatural" and when I saw he was in this film I decided it was a must see. :P

The 3D effects were amazing and the movie as a whole (storyline and such) was all a sweet deal! :D

Eh. That stinks.

I want to see this again!

Review: (non-spoilerish)

Its about time that there was a horror movie out there that was done right. It had a lot of chills and thrills. As well as a descent storyline. The cast was great, as well as the supporting cast. I enjoyed it! It was my first ever 3D movie experience, and I can't wait until the DVD release. There were certain parts I actually find myself cringing, but in a nutshell, its defintely worth seeing. :)

I thought she looked like Jessica Alba, but I didn't know it was her. Why would she show up for Jensen?

I only speak for myself but, even if I'm a big fan of Jensen as an actor( not only because of supernatural), I didn't think he was that great in MBV. Don't get me wrong, he did the job and I was more than glad to see him on big screen, but, I don't know, something was lacking.

Anyway, I really enjoy the movie! And my mother and my step-father did too!

It's about time we had a thread for this, AWESOME job on the OP Bee! :thud: :woot:

I've started seeing trailers for and even stuff outside our usual cinema advertising the film, so I'm beyond excited for this :blinkie: It's probably going to kill me with the gore and horror, though!

Yeah, I saw it in 2D cause I couldn't find it any other way around here, but it was still as good!

I hear the 2D version is just as awesome, more so in some cases because you don't get distracted by the special affects, because there really is an awesome storyline for the movie.

There was talk of a sequel, depends how much money it makes I guess. Saw is Lionsgate big horror movie...how much does that usually make? But it only cost 20mil to make and they made that back opening weekend. :yay: So that has to count for something.

Kerr does do facial hair justice.

Shannon posted this over on the JA board. On Set report

I have no idea what Jessica was thinking with that outfit. but it's so sweet she showed up to support Jensen. :sigh:

Here's a great interview with Jensen from JoBlo.com. Not really spoilery, but he talks about MBV and Supernatural. And the interviewer gushes a tiny bit about Jensen and the kind of guy he is. :sigh:
