my bike was $70, my bro wants to "rent" it, how much should i charge per hour?

Have him leave a $70 deposit and he can have it for the day. When he comes back and the bike is in reasonable condition, hand him back 75% of his deposit. Or simply tell him it's yours and get lost. Or as one other said, lend it to him out of the kindness of your heart. He is your brother, after all. Would you like him to return favors or not? He is less likely to do so if you charge him for using your bike.

It depends on how reliable you think he is. If he always seems to be breaking things and not returning stuff on time I would charge him, like someone else said, $5 an hour. That's actually a really good deal for renting a bike. But if he really needs it, you can count on him, and you don't need the money, I say loan it to him for free. That way if you ever need him to do you any favors just say, "Hey remember that time I loaned you my bike for FREE?"

I agree with the 1st answer....Come on man. You are the reason our economy is so horrible. Always trying to make a buck off of something.
