move, whats wrong here? I have a 1983 GPZ 550, the other day, I painted my handle bars to my clutch an d break levers. When I put them back on, my bike wouldnt start. Then I noticed the light switch stopper on my clutch was broke, so i cut the wire and made a toggle switch to connect the wires to start my bike. It worked, but then when i had it running, I put it into first gear and gave it gas, It didn't move at all. When I put it into 1st it jerked for a split second, but then when I let off the clutch and give it a little gas it doesn't go anywhere. This makes no sense, The bike was working before I painted it, then the next day it wont work? Anyone know whats wrong with this picture?

if your clutch is hydraulic its possible theres a leak or air in the lines if its cable look to were the cable connects on the trannmission if it doesnt move your line may be seized

Sounds like your clutch is broken. Does the clutch lever still work properly? That split second jerk and then not moving with the engine running suggests it's stuck in nutral or the clutch is broken or slipping very badly. Try adjusting, but you may need to open the case.
