in 2002 dodge unveiled the (safety lock) which is when the vehicle hits a speed of 12 mph the doors automatically lock. now this is whats causing the problem and im not there so i cant SEE whats happening but i would say the ecu (electronic control unit) is getting it mixed up with the speed sensors, its a possibility that the rpm is moving the speedometer. under the radar as so you cannot see this happening but many trucks over time do this and dodge is bad for speedo's busting. my dads 01 with power locks did the same thing. if you can get your ecu looked at and the speed sensor checked and your tires calibrated it might just fix the problem i have seen it many times and there is different things that could be causing this, and if its possible you can take the key out of the ignition as its running if you have yet to try it. do so and there is your problem, it obviously has - remote start- built in , and under the dash there will be a small lever or switch of some type, in the ON position. switch it to OFF and it might fix it as well dodge introduced a remote starting system for the newer rams. and either way its not a great big deal. unless its -40 outside and you need to let it idle 24/7 i wouldn't worry about it good luck,....max
