My BF always Texting. Texting is better than talking on phone?

Hello guys, first i want to say u sorry bcoz of my poor english. I need geniune Answers only. thanks in advance. I have a question.I'm 25yrs old from Asia. I live in Illinois, past 2 yrs. my bf he is 30. He's an American. He live in indiana.We met only one time. We met in flight when we were travelling to california.Now We are texting each other almost everyday. We never talk on phone. He gave me a chirstmas gift by post. That was B'ful. Anyway, we r Texting more than one month. Is that ok? What I have to do for better relation? Thanks
