MY BETTA FISH IS GOING PALE!!! HELP!!!?

My betta fish isnt black anymore!!! hes going gray!!!!
i think its because the water is too cold, how do i warm it up???
his lamp is on, but it isnt working!!
i just cleaned the tank yesterday...
hm, i dont have money on me right now is the problem
my betta isnt old, i got him on tuesday
and yeah, he was black yesterday, and now he looks really pale today
 
Check the PH in the tank. If you recently changed his water you may have messed up his balance. The pet store will probably have some stuff you can add.
 
Gradually take out some of the old water and put in the new water. I'd say about a tablespoon at a time. This happened to my Betta fish too. ^^' This is what my mom told me to do, so I'll pass it on to you. And keep the lamp extra close.
 
There really should be a heater for him. A lamp can raise the temp dangerously high and when the bulb burns out..then what? Also you just got him..give him some time to settle in. But he really needs a temperature around 78-80 degrees F. at all times, not a yo-yoing temperature.
