Take your bat and say in your head where the ball is n swing at that spot and then also get your front foot down faster its all about your timing.

I need help on some excercises to strengthen my arms so i have a quicker and more efficient baseball swin. MY BAT FEELS a little heavy but gettin a lighter one isnt an option.

you probably just moved up to the senior field and have to use a minus 3 bat if so you will get used to the bat and have someone pitch to you like a coach or dad and have them pitch fast and you will adjust and dont go to the batting cages they ruin your swing because you dont see the pitching motion

A lot of a swings power is from the legs, butt, core, & mechanics... ask your trainer or couch for workouts or go on youtube & look at baseball specific workouts.... NOT BODYBUILDING (it slows you down)

I suggest Ross Enamait

if you don't care about that then work your triceps, & wrists

mechanics are probably the most important... work with your coach to shorten your bat to the ball and faster//no stride

also you can quicken your reflexes & comfort by taking BP with a faster pitch.... work with 85+ mph so 75 looks slow... get it

When you practice you a very heavy bat and a doughnut(weight you put on the bat) when you swing. This will help you increase your arm strength.

When you actually hit the ball use your regular bat, make sure you get a lot more swings in than you normally would. You need to be strength and the more you swing the bat the stronger you are going to get. Push-ups, pull-ups and dips are going to be great exercises for you to get stronger.

Ab workouts will also help you as well.

take like a 5lb dumb bell and put in on the tips of your fingers, no roll in back to the middle of your palm, then let it go to the tips of your fingers and do this 15 times for 4 sets on each hand 2 times a day. this will strengthen our fingers and wrist. you may want to start your stride toward the pitcher when you swing just a hair earlier so your swing is on time

I don't know much about building up arm strength, but if you're using the lightest bat you can possibly use, you late swing might have more to do with you technique than your arm strength. Have someone, like your coach or an older player, help you with your swing. Make sure you're not dropping your hands when you start your swing, like a lot of young players do without even realizing it. You might just be starting your swing late, so make sure your hands are all the way back when the pitcher is releasing the ball and you plant your feet in time to make your swing.

Or if you take practice swings with two or three bats in the batter's circle before you step up to the plate, your one bat will feel A LOT lighter in your hands.
