My Ball Python was injured on his back so by a mouse how can you tell if the wound is

healed or infected? My BP was either scratched or bite on his back by a mouse after my boyfriend saw it he took the mouse out but now my bp wont eat and he hisses so how can i tell if his wound is healing or if its infected right now it looks like its scabbed and he looks like he going to shed soon
