Hi,

I know what it feels like. I've had bacne forever.

The thing that has really worked for me is tea tree oil soap. Dr. Bronner's has a good one, but there are other branRAB. I put it on a bath sponge in the shower. It's nonirritating and leaves a nice clean feeling. It's done a lot to clear up the pimples on my back. I'm also on Retin A Micro, which has worked pretty well on my face but never cleared my back. I'm 95% clear on my back now.

Good luck.

Wash with Oxy wash (benzoyl peroxide) every day, leaving it on the shin for a few minutes to act before rinsing it off.

Hi Dreamweaver,

I am 40 and can relate. Salac is terrific for back acne. There is no prescription required, however, most pharmacies do not stock it. They can order it for you and it will be there in a day or two. Its a wash and I just apply it in the shower each morning with a shower back/body brush

Hey, Dreamweaver,

I realize this is several months after the fact, but I've been doing a lot of research regarding my bacne. My struggle with it started in my 20's and I'm 2+ years away from 40, but it's now worse than ever. After having gone through countless prescriptions, including Accutane, I have an appointment to check out my liver. In my research, I've found that a poorly functioning liver, whose symptoms often imitates a food allergy, can't properly eliminate toxins from the body and therefore results in acne, or in my case bacne. Let me know if you'd like to hear the results from my doctor visit.

Take care & be well. :)
