My baby is too big for his swing... help!?

He's 6 months old, and it's been the only way he will sleep for more than two hours at a time. If I put him in his crib or pack and play, he keeps waking up screaming. Is there some sort of gizmo that vibrates and is cushy that I could put in his crib that would be appropriate for his age? Or anything else that would possibly help? I'm desperate for sleep and don't feel it's safe to have him sleep in his swing anymore.

What about his carseat, my daughter still naps in hers during the day and she's 5.5 months. Its the only way she'll sleep for 2-3 hours.
