my automatic transmisson is leaking fluid its 89 chevy truck 2 wheel drive

could it be a seal? i looked under the truck and theres grease all around the bolts under the tansmisson
is it expensive to fix
 
First thing you have to ascertain is where is the oil leaking from. Could be the front pump seal, you will see oil drip from the small hole at the bottom of the flywheel pan. Could be from pan gasket. Could be from extension housing gasket or seal., governor cover, speedo adapter. throttle cable, filler tube O ring, modulator seal. Clean it of and find out.
 
either a seal, or the gasket, but if you have changed it recently it could be the seal.
