My art topic is "Transition" any ideas? Brain storming..?

Yes, my art project this year is Transition.

this could be;
journeys (physical or ideas)
decomposition (decay, erosion)
passage of time (light, weather, mood)
abstraction (how a form alters)
and portrait (change of emotion, age etc)

I'd rather keep away from the whole flower blooming idea.

So any ideas?
