Well I added a nice sound system to my car about a six months ago and it has worked great for me from that time until a few days ago. A basic setup of my system is a Pioneer headunit with iPod interface hooked up to four Infinity speakers (Kappas I believe) with two Alpine 10" subwoofers in the back. The four speakers are run by a 400 W Alpine amp and the subwoofers are run by a 500 W Alpine amp (both rated well above what the speakers required and were relatively new). I was listening to a Hip Hop mix, so the subs were kicking pretty good and then out of nowhere, everything stopped. The amps lights stayed on and the headunit pretended like nothing changed, but there was absolutely no sound to be heard. Now whenever I turn it on, it sometimes gives me about 5 seconds of audio then it turns back off again. I have read lots about using better wire, etc, but I purchased a really good high-end wire kit from Street Wire and the RCAs are high end as well. Please help me!! Thanks a lot!
