I used to smoke weed once, every night, for the past 2-3 months. Before that it was maybe 3 times a week for a couple months. All of that weed smoking was accompanied by occasional alcohol as well. After I quit smoking, I started drinking. At most I'd have 3 beers almost every day for around a month. I know that when I began to stop smoking weed, and I didn't smoke for a night, my memory went to complete crap. Then, when I smoked, the day after my memory would be great again... It's been about a month since I've stopped smoking weed and around a week since I've stopped drinking completely. I seem to have short term memory loss or something, I'll go into my room to get something, walk out and then remember I was supposed to get something. It's usually a scenario always like that one. I also tend to forget things friends tell me and they have brought it up to me. I didn't think I was going too overboard with weed and booze compared to some people I know, and I've noticed my ability to remember things has been greatly decreased since I started the whole thing. Is this a long term thing or should will it go away after awhile longer? I'll also mention I was running off maybe 3-4 hours of sleep a night while doing this and then going to work if that has anything to do with it.
