gas and coast it stops.? I don't know what the problem would be, and the shaking is mainly focused in the front of the car. And sometimes instead of shaking, there is a low humming noise that hurts my ears. I haven't gone faster than 40 when I drove it home last night. By the way, I live in AZ and the temp. gets up to 114 degrees.
 
Sounds like you broke a motor mount. That vibration is the engine slamming around against the remaining mounts. Get it fixed quick, very dangerous. Kind of costly, too. Sorry!
 
I would say idler and pitman arms are probably bad. (my guess)
Take it somewhere and have them give you an estimate for repairs, That will tell you what's wrong, then call around to price getting the work done. The original shop may give you the estimate for free, maybe not, maybe you should call around and get a price for that too.
Either way, it doesn't seem very safe to drive, you need to have it checked.
