I put a new battery in a few days ago because I thought that was the problem, plus it was kind of old and I needed a new one anyway. It only starts up some of the time. It's usually when I stop for a short time to run in somewhere and then it doesn't start up again. I jumped it, the first time it started right away but the second time took a while, it sounded like it wanted to start but just wouldn't.

Also when I turn corners it acts funky and shakes a little, but that could be a whole different problem.

when you put a new battery in, did the engine crank over slowly or fast. if the engine crank slowly or nothing happen, you have a bad starter or bad wire connection. if the engine crank over fast, it could be a weak fuel pump, fuel pump is not working, leak fuel injectors, clogged injectors, leak fuel pressure regulator, bad idle speed control valve. these require special tools to diagnos the problem
