My 97 chevy cavalier is overheating...?

It's running hot but not overheating all the way. There is more than enough coolant in the system and its not leaking anywhere that I can tell. The coolant light is staying on however. The heater is also blowing ice cold! We have replaced the thermostat and water pump. THE FAN IS WORKING!!! And there is no coolant in my oil! Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with it???

You may have put to big of a thermostat in. Go to the part store and get a lower temp. thermostat.

Or you may need to flush the cooling system.
Go to the parts store (or even wal mart) and get a radiator flush kit you will get every thing you need in the kit to flush the system except the new antifreeze. just follow the instructions on the package. It will take less than a hour and It should fix the problem.

there is a slight possibility that there is a clog in the system. another possibility is that the water pump is going bad.
your heater is just like a mini radiator for your car. hot coolant is passed through the radiator and a fan blows are through it and it is directed to the cars cabin. this is why it takes time for the heater to get hot.
one thing you can do is buy a pressure guage for your radiator and see if you have pressure. be sure to follow the instructions that come with it. you might be able to rent a tool from auto zone or napa.
no pressure, somethings wrong with the pump or there is a clog.
