my 91 jeep xj shakes at highway speeds?

I need some serious help here. I have brought my car to 6 different auto shops and no one can figure it out. I replaced all tires and rims I have got a new power steering gear box. My tires balanced 5 times. New steering damper and that's about it. The shaking was in the front but now since I've done all that it seems to be in the back. The auto shop put it on the lift and it started to wobble in drive someone please help me. It usually starts at 50-75 I know its a big stretch but that's when it happens. And it seems to have a 4 second shake. It will be ok then u count to 4 and it shakes this occurs at about 65. If u can help please please do so this car drives 150 miles every monday and friday at highway speeds.
 
Has this vehicle ever been in an accident? Did you have anyone check the frame alignment? The short body Jeeps are notorious for having all types of odd handling characteristics and are also quite susceptible to having the frame become a slight parallelogram not only from an accident but also from some serious off-road adventures. Have you had anyone look at the drive-train and particularly the drive-shaft and universal joints? An out of balance drive-shaft or one that has been slightly dented can cause intermittent vibration as you describe. The bottom line to remember is that you are not working with a vehicle that is known for it's inherent smoothness and body integrity.
 
it's a jeep. problem solved. no thanks necessary.

seriously though, they are not very structurally sound. if you want a smooth ride on the highway, don't get a car made for off-roading
 
I have seen a lot of bent axles on jeeps

run the jeep on a lift with all four wheels off the ground

bring the jeep up to highway speed in 4 high

watch each wheel for out of roundness

a bent axle could act just like a bent rim or bad tire. also check your u-joints on the drive shaft for play
