...rough starting any ideas? It would run rough ,sometimes die, unless I put gas( rpms) to it for about 15 seconds. Then it would run fine, idle fine, until I stopped again. Do I need to run a higher octane at these lower altitudes.
 
No but I bet you need to reset the system, Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes this will clear the PCM of past histories, then hook it back up and run it. If this doesn't cure it, it may just need a good tune up. True it is at lower altitudes but for EFI this is a non issue as the computer adjusts. The lower altitude may be allowing the plugs to show their age.
