My 87 Toyota pick up wont start. I went out to go to work and it gave half a crank and then the charge light just went real dim. Well I thought I needed a new battery so I put a new one in and I get the same thing. The only thing I can think is there is a little wire running off the negative that has a small metal O ring that got old and snapped off so I tried to replace it so maybe I did that wrong I dont even know what thats for. But now the new battery is in and it does the same thing my radio wont come on and the interior light does not come on so I am stumped I know its not getting power I just dont know why
