she is a 8 week old beagle female and we just got her yesterday.
she whined so much overnight i didnt get any sleep, and mind you im only 17, and my mom said shes my responsibility.
she wont eat, just drink water, and everytime we put her on the floor instead of carrying her, she whines and cries. she doesnt evenlike going for walks!
the most shes slept straight is about 2 hours. is all this normal? help!?

only 17? if u wanted the dog, then she is ur responsibility..... pay to take her to the vet

very normal in puppy get some wet food and try a new kind of dog kibble and the crying is just for some think to do so do you have crate or do you let her sleep with you ?

It's not normal that she isn't eating. She is probably crying a lot because she just got taken away from her mom and brothers and sisters and stuck somewhere new with new smells and new people. I got a pom puppy a week ago and she cried a lot the first night. She kept me up all night same with the next night. She is just now getting used to her new home and sleeping at night. But you should definately bring your puppy to the vet because it is alwasy better to be safe than sorry.

She's just a BABY......she misses her "family" and she doesn't know what to make of her new surroundings.

THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL !!

Did you try to let her sleep in your bed, with you? This would give her the comfort that she's seeking. Before you brought her home, she "cuddled" with her brothers and sisters and her mom. NOW, you're her mom, so you have to let her cuddle with you.

I let a LABRADOR sleep with me for 6 months.....til he got too big for both of us to fit in the same bed! I took him outside to "potty" every couple of hours, for a few weeks, til WE learned not to let him drink anything in the evenings! Then, he slept through MOST of the night......only having to go outside a couple of times.

This is all part of being a "parent", which is what YOU are, now! So........get used to it. It'll get better, with time, and you'll miss the "closeness" and the "bond" that you've developed, when she decides that she's too old to cuddle anymore and want to go "her own way".

I hope this helps you understand..........She's lonely, and she's no where NEAR READY to go for walks! Let her get used to her new surroundings and family, before trying anything else new.

Good luck...................ENJOY your new "daughter"!!

yeah you should take her to the vet. that is just not right that your dog isnt doind any of that. how long did you have her? did you have her for the 8 weeks? maybe shes just not used to you or everything around her. maybe she just needs sometime to get use to.
