I have a 5 month old who refuses to eat. She was born 6 weeks early and has had eating issues since birth. She was in the NICU for the first 17 days just to grow and learn to eat. She was tube fed most of that time. To date she has been a very inconsistent eater. Typically she fights it. She screams and cries in anger during the bottle. It's a struggle to get her to eat 75% of the time. Then all the sudden she'll take a bottle without any problem at all. There's absolutely no pattern to predict when she'll eat well and when she'll put up a fuss. My husband and I are at our breaking point. We've tried everything. It's NOT reflux! She was toung tied, but we had that fixed. We've tried different bottles (Avent and Dr. Brown's) but it doesn't seem to make a difference. We're at a loss. The only thing that calms her is her pacifier, so she likes to suck. Please if anyone has any suggestions or knows of a doctor or therapist who can help Please let us know!!! I love my daughter, but it's very hard to like her right now and I feel horrible!
