My 2nd bloody valentine (?)

I actually enjoyed it. It's one of the better remakes out there.
Friday The 13th and the Halloween remakes were terrible and I don't have much hope for the new Elm Street one either.

I agree. I enjoyed this. It wasn't much of a remake as far as the plots were concerned but it was a good enough film in its own right. F13 and to a massive extent Halloween were travesties.

I'd watch another MBV whereas wild horses wouldn't compel me to watch another Halloween movie by Rob Zombie. Any new movie, frankly, by this atrocious film-maker who only knows how to populate his movies with self-referential look-a-likes and - one assumes - scenes from his own life.

If they make a sequel then I'd definitely see it, just leave out the stupid 3D this time around.

The Halloween remake was terrible but he made up for it somewhat with his sequel to it, decent slasher. Friday the 13th I'm not even going to start going on about, there is a sequel going to be made for this too.

You've got to be kidding. The second was even worse than the previous one.
It was so crap I doubt I'll ever watch anything Rob Zombie is attached to again. lol

Nah, found it better than the first one. You will be happy to know he is not attached to the third Halloween film. It was going to the guy who directed My Bloody Valentine remake, but it's been put off for now apparently.

I hated Rob Zombie's Halloween II. The first one was okay until it just became a straight retread of the original, only without the tension. But Halloween II was just awful in every respect. Unlikeable characters (your teen horror script has obviously failed if the audience is rooting for the supposedly evil killer! And i was definitely rooting for him to kill the immensely annoying Laurie...), the acting was atrocious from all involved (even McDowell who was clearly uninterested and only there to fulfil a contractual obligation), and the swear filled dialogue was some of the most unbelievable stuff i've ever heard (example of dialogue: "Baby, baby, f*ck, f*ck, baby, baby!").

In my opinion, H2 was one of the worst horror films i've ever seen. Only slightly better than the god awful 'Parasomnia' which takes the prize.

If you've not heard of it then i seriously advise you to not go looking for it. It's not even "so bad that it's good", it's just bad. I struggled to make it to the 60 minute mark before turning it off. Bad story, bad acting, bad direction, bad effects and horrendous use of sound. It was almost like they ran out of money and had to keep reusing the same musical cues and effects shots.

It came out at horror festivals about a year ago and somehow got fairly decent reviews, i have absolutely no idea how it got these reviews as it was just beyond awful.
