She's a wonderful girl, outwardly friendly, pretty and is liked by all. Many men have tried but she has always pushed them away. Is this a phoebia? What can I say to her besides, 'she is special and when the time is right, it will happen.' Or should she talk it over with a therapist? When she mentioned it to the family doctor, that she was still a virgin, the doctor rolled her eyes and didn't believe her. Now she's told me she going to have sex before her 24th birthday in mid May. She's done this deadline thing before and it's left her depressed and discouraged. Help.

I really don't understand why you would be so concerned with your daughter's sex life - that's just private. Sorry!

First of all, she needs a new therapist. Second of all, don't try to push her into having sex. She needs to find someone that she's completely comfortable with before she has sex anyway. Don't try to get her to have sex with the first bloke that comes along. Be a mom, not a friend.
