weeks.? My 2009 leased Toyota Camry caught on fire after being at their repair shop for 3 weeks. They were 'servicing' the engine meanwhile me being car-less because they don't provide a loner car. After picking it up, the engine blew within 5 blocks of leaving the dealership causing it to catch on fire, simultaneously there happened to be a fire engine responding to a separate call and stopped to put the fire out. At this point the car was dead, metal parts on the floor amidst a sea of fluids pouring from the engine and large volumes of smoke being emitted. After getting back to Toyota, we were given a rental for free while they repair it again. The dealership admitted to forgetting to test drive it before releasing the car. What courses of action can I take, and what 'rights' am I entitled to (IE who should I contact and what should be said) . This was the third repair within a year that it has been through and am sick of that shitty car. There is still 8 months on the lease. My optimal goal would be to get the car swapped out for a new one for putting my life at risk.
