The red light (oil light) comes on everytime you turn the key to "on". That by itself only means that "oil pressure "is low, which it would be when the engine is not running and driving the oil pump. (If it ever comes on when you are riding down the road, IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER and shut the bike off, let it sit for a couple of minutes and check the oil level, if low, refill to proper amount, if oil level is okay then either return home (if someone there is a mechanic on bikes) or take it to a shop to be diagnosed. Better to pay to have a problem resolved, then destroy and engine because oil is not circulating.
Now, put the bike in neutral, make sure the engine kill switch is in the run position, push the starter button. What noises is the bike making? does it sound like it wants to start? You state you added oil, WHY? was the amount low, or you added oil just because the oil light was on when you first turned the key on. (see above)
If the bike still won't start, then in your case I recommend taking it to a shop to be serviced. I don't think you have the tools or knowhow to start diagnostic work. sorry.
