My 2006 Ford Focus CD Player stopped working.?

The radio works and the clock works but the cd player stopped. You try to put cd in and it won't take it in to play, if you push it in it just says no cd in it but the eject button will eject cd back out. This is under a lease so I'm not sure what to do since it's probably not under a warranty now. We were suckered into lease so I don't trust car dealer to be honest and not charge fortune for new one.
 
I have a vauxhall zafira that does the same thing, please let me know when you have an answer, Thanks
