My 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 rides crappy... Only when I hit a bump.?

I'm having a problem with my 04' Ram 1500 Quad Cab. when I'm driving above 40 mph and I hit a pot hole or a bump my steering wheel over steers and I almost lose control at times, especially on turns... My truck has 49000 miles. Tires are still good. Anyone have any ideas???
 
Is the truck modified?

If it's a 4x4 with a lift you could be having an issue call "bump steer". This happens often with lifted vehicles.
