hours or so....why?!? Every morning or anytime after I haven't started the truck after a long period of time, I have to crank the engine before it either slowly starts up or I let go and turn it over again. If I don't get it to start on the first try, it pops right on the second time. Why is this? Do I need a tune up or should I replace my spark plugs or something?? It's got about 75K miles on it and I've had both the battery and alternator checked and there at 100%. Any guidance is much appreciated!

it sounds like the starter, if its at least doing something its not the battery or the alternator.

Check the fuel regulator valve on the fuel rail. Sounds like it is leaking gas back into the gas tank. When you then try to start the vehicle, the fuel pump has to re-pressurize the fuel rail.
