My 2003 Cadillac Deville acts like it wants to shut off when im at a stop...

is it missing? one cylinder may be not getting spark or fuel, if its vibrating really bad then it mite be the case. does it smooth out when you get going? you can damage an engine from somthing like that and if you go to some shop and get it hooked up to an obd2 reader and have them data-stream it (monitor the engine and sensors in real time) it will tell you if its misfiring on a certain cylinder or trouble codes). they dont usually tell you the exact problem but they are a huge help with someone who knows how to use theyre data. you may have an idle air controller going bad or timing issue. it could be a whole slew of things but i would get it hooked up to a computer first to try to get rite to the problem instead of the traditional way of throwing parts at it and hoping it will fix it
