my 2002 ford taurus just shut down on the highway, it starts but won't go into gear,?

and i just did a trans. flush oct 10 09 just 3 weeks ago. BATTERY is good and i just put in a new alternator early oct 09 as well, i don't know what could be wrong, i hope it's not the transmission.
