Check the oil level, add if necessary. Check the radiator fluid level, add if necessary. Check the transmission fluid level according to the instructions in the owners manual and add fluid as necessary. It sounds to me like your engine overheated. It got so hot that the residual oil on the engine block burnt off and you smelled it as the fumes permeated into the cabin. The car must of been starved of oil and the crank shaft main bearing got so big and swollen that the engine could no longer turn. So it tried to shut off due to an overheat condition. I am sorry. But your engine will never be the same again. There would be major wear and tear damage and you have just greatly reduced the useful life of your Honda. Sell it if you will.
