My 2000 Dodge 4x4 truck has a V8 with an auto transmission, I had the battery checked it was fine, when you turn the key you can hear nothing, dash lights light up but total blank no ticking. I tried to start it in neutral and messed with the shifter still nothing, I'm at a loss and would appreciate any help or suggestions, also
Thanks

Maybe the starter is bad. Those arent too bad, a replacement should be only around $100. That is the little mini engine that winds up your truck's motor so it turns over. I would also suspect your alternator but if your battery is good that means the alternator is working too, since the alternator recharges the car battery from being spun by a belt from the engine while you drive to make up for the juice of the battery used to start your car.
