It has a brand new battery, it won't crank over, I turn the key and nothing happens, and if I wait a few minutes and try again, it starts slow. When I wiggle the key in the ignition it starts right up. Is this a bad ignition switch or some other problem?
It only seems to do this every couple of weeks. sometimes it starts fine and other times it wont start

that can be the ignition switch causing this too happen or the neutral safety switch causing it also, next time it does this you need to take it out of park and then put it back in park and see if it will start,if it does replace the neutral safety switch on it,if not have the ignition switch checked before you replace it a bad relay will also do the same thing, and wont do it all the time, good luck.

Yes it sounds like a bad ignition but even your key can be worn down and cause the problems so check your key first for wear and tear.It also could be a problem related to the clock spring circuit too.

So it could be just the key or the ignition key cylinder part of the ignition or it could be the ignition the part the cylinder sits in and it could be the clock spring but I'd start with the key especially if it's one of the original keys.If you've two keys try the other one in it and if you notice lots of play in the ignition cylinder itself try replacing just the cylinder.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way the U pick auto wreckers should have ignition cylinders that you could remove yourself for quite cheap as long as you've the key and you don't mind having two different keys for that vehicle.
