my 1999 chevrolet silverado keeps stalling going down the road?

i need to know if it needs a new computer or something else i can do to keep it running it will restart 3 times ao so
 
cheapest thing would be try a fuel filter.... after that coil id say gas treatment and fuel filter more common
 
1..battery good and cables clean? 2 ever been tuned...somehow people got idea u just put in gas and go...3after bat and tune..got fuel? filter and pump check pressure with gauge..4 computer is last thing to look at.. 1 in a thousand....got codes? scan them free at advance [or other parts stores]
