the noise it makes sound like a chain being pulled through something. It also over heats in minuets! 2 days before the noise i did the oli change and their is water in the radiator. it will be okay for a few minuets then as i push the accelerator it stars making that noise and the temp needle starts rising to hot....anyone know what it is or might be, and is this something i can fix myself? Price range?

sounds like the water pump has died don't know how good you are with spanners would suggest you talk with a mechanic to find out the cost could be around $300 including parts suggest a new cam belt at the same time

The previous answers could be possible causes to explain your "horrible" noise. The cost for these repairs could be as low at $600 and as high at $2500 if there is additional damage. Your vehicle's fair market value is between $600-$1300. You have to ask yourself, is it work fixing?

Save your money and invest in a vehicle you will get more use out of.

I suspect the noise is coming from a broken timing belt. I suggest an immediate overhaul so that problems will not spread that much. Maybe a top overhaul instead of major overhaul is only needed by your car.
