my 1995 toyota camry cassete player wont play my cassette in order for me to listen

to my ipod? i have a cassette to hook up my cassette player so that i can hear my ipod but my cassette works for a second then again then jsut pits it back out. im guessing its my cassette player since my ipod cassette works on my cassette player but does any one know how i can try to solve my problem? i really want to fix this so i dont feel like i wasted 10 dollars for nothing. thank you
